Absolutely no notice on my end too. Very confusing. Considering the students they took from my school last year, I would have expected them to at least defer me...

I got together with another student who wants to transfer and we got a storage shed where we moved in most of our stuff. My lease expires in about a month, and his expires in 2. Not gonna renew, and we're not going to look for a place near our current school until the first week of school. Friends have also offered to let us crash on their couches for the first few weeks of school, so that helps too. It will kind of suck if either or both of us end up staying, but, hopefully, neither of us will have to!
We both figured it was better than leaving roommates in a lurch if we had to bail out last minute... Also, neither of us wanted to sign for a new place until the very last moment possible just in case.
Having never been to TN before, what sort of reasons did you give for transferring? Vandy is right up at the top of schools I want to transfer to, but I'm really worried they won't take me because I have no real compelling reason to go there. I mean, outside of the fact that I think it's a fabulous school, they have a great international law program, supposed to have wonderful professors, atmosphere, etc.... Do they seem to take more students based on actual need to be in TN or students who just want to go to the school?

I go to a similarly ranked school, and my professors and advisors have told me that it's not impossible to transfer to the very top schools, just extremely unlikely. I think maybe one or two students have transferred from my school to Columbia (in the past decade or so). I've never heard of anyone transferring higher than that though, although I'm told at least a handful always apply.
Deposit is due 5/8
Well, I sure hope so! But, I think it might be good news for some people but not so much for others... Found out that someone from my school with very similar stats as mine just got waitlisted.
IF we get waitlisted EA, what do you think the chances are of getting off? You think the WL for EA applicants is priority or regular? I mean, if it's a WL for just EA applicant spots, then there's got to be a pretty good chance of getting admitted right? It seems like so many people are accepting EA as a safety but applying to other schools...
14.5" or are we talking length?
Look, if you're applying to transfer to GULC EA, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're doin pretty well with law classes, so obviously not an accurate predictor of either your intelligence, etc. Or, if it's high yay you~~
Hmm.. adds an interesting spin.
I know one person who got admitted and had a very low LSAT score. He's also ranked 2 or 3 in our class (3.9-something), so maybe an outlier...
Anyone want to compare and see if it's true? I'm low 160s
