Choosing the Right Law School / Re: opinions on these schools?
« on: December 26, 2005, 07:16:22 PM »
yeah im not sure, i think these schools are more national than rutgers though and i'd like to give myself some options.  i'm not 100% sure i want to practice in new jersey.  plus if i had a dollar for every time someone told me not to count on transfering, i wouldn't need to go to law school, but thanks for the advice.

since my lsat score today rules me out of t-14 competition...
where exactly is the cut-off between t-1 and t-2 schools and how important is this in real life?
also i think i can get into at least one of the following schools: wisconsin, emory, notre dame, washington and lee.  these are all ranked higher than rutgers, but i live in new jersey so i would have in-state tuition.
do people think it would be worth going to one of these higher ranked schools if i got in considering the extra cost?  how about if i hoped to transfer to a t-14?

whats worse than the lsat curve is the entire law school admissions process.  everything revolves around 2 numbers. gpa which doesnt differentiate between classes taken this year and 10 years ago, between an education major and a physics major or between grades from  harvard and richard stockton college and lsat where 5 points is treated as a huge difference even though it might only be a 2 or 3 question difference out of 101.
who came up with this system?
