The OP hasn't even stated that they wanted to stay in the Houston area, and Tech has better stats and I think a better reputation, so I figure it would have better transferability.
And what I said about the differences between STCL and TX Southern was my PERSONAL opinion. Not anything to get worked up on.
Contract-you should really look into litigation. That way you can still bite off everyone's head and at least get paid for it.

I've visited Tech, and its a pretty nice campus, and they seem to be doing some updating as well. I think you'd have a better chance of employment after graduation at Tech. Besides, their cost of tuition is one of the most (if not the most) affordable in the state! Besides I personally would worry about mixing reputations (South Texas vs Texas Southern)

Really? Yikes, I got one Waitlist from December, and still haven't heard back. I also got another waitlist just this past month, and both schools are similarly ranked. Would there be anything to assume from all this?

I'm not quite sure where I want to end up city-wise, and I don't exactly have the funding to travel both places just to check it out. Does anyone know the crime rate/ etc for both cities?

I think OU. I've visited both schools, and I must say I was a little disappointed with Tech's Library. I think OU has better resources, a better program and a lot of people have been able to make the move from Oklahoma to working in Texas, especially in the Dallas area.

One of the schools I was waitlisted at said that there generally isn't much movement on the waitlist until the second deposit is made, so I think waitlist notifications probably won't be sent out until mid-summer? But this is just my thinking...

I've been accepted to both, Albany with a 3/4 tuition scholarship and with that I was able to leverage a small scholarship to Seattle U. I am really having difficulty with deciding on where to go (I'm from the South, so I'm not exactly close to either law school)
Seattle is ranked slightly higher but I've seen a lot of people on these message boards voting to go for lower ranked schools for smaller debt. I'd LOVE to have as little debt possible, but I am just wondering if you come from a lower ranked school, wouldn't it be much harder to find a job?
I am also currently waitlisted at a few other upper T2 schools, but I'd love any input. Thanks!

I got accepted into Albany as well! Did you receive a folder that has some housing information? I know its kind of silly but I was so excited that rent isn't that expensive in Albany.

My sister just applied for her residency and we're kind of trying to match together to be in the somewhat same geographic region, so I kind of know what you're going through (albeit, this is your HUSBAND and not sister haha)
I think if you attend Tulane, since it does have a name, it could reach NY if you'd like to practice there; however, you'd probably have to work a lot harder to find opportunities that can take you there rather than being conveniently there (if you got into Columbia)
