I am definitely interested in the questions about OCI, GPA and the grading curve as well. THANKS 3

It seems you have made your mind up about Detroit. I think everyone realizes that Detroit's economy is not the greatest, but I am from Western PA and neither is Pittsburgh's. I am looking for something new, and UDM offered me that. They seem to have a decent reputation especially in Detroit, and throughout Michigan. I know these were not the answers to your question, but I am more than excited to attend law school at UDM, so I am not sure how that affects you. 4

Detroit Mercy / Re: UDM fall 2006???« on: May 23, 2006, 01:28:09 PM »Does anyone happen to know anything about parking at the school? I probably don't even want to know how much it will cost! I'm still waiting to hear back from my aunts stepdaughter about decent suburbs to live in, and I will pass along the info. I also work at a police department, and one of our new officers is from Detroit, so I can hopefully get advice from him as well. I went to admitted students day on the 18th and was very impressed with the school. They are definitly my top choice at the moment. There is a parking lot right across the street but only 2L's and 3L's get to pack there. 1L's have to parkin private parkin glots. There are many close by so it shouldnt be a problem. That is what the faculty and students said. However I think if you are a part time evening student you can park in the student lot, but only at night, so if you are there studying during the day you can't get to your spot until later int eh evening. HTH if anyone else has any more info about UDM i would love to hear it. take it easy 7
Widener U School of Law / Re: Class of 2009« on: May 15, 2006, 10:01:51 PM »
hey guys. I just got accepted off of the waitlist to the harrisburg campus. I am from pittsburgh but am not that familiar with widener. I was wondering if anyone had a chance if they could give me their opinions of the school adn campus. I am hoping to get a chance to visit but they only gave me 10 days to send it a deposit. I am going to try and get an extension. however, any help you guys could give me would be awesome. hopefully i will be joining you guys at the harrisburg campus and good luck to the wilmington people.

Ave Maria / Re: Offer for Fall 2006« on: May 09, 2006, 09:32:33 AM »
I just received an acceptance yesterday, and am very interested in the school. However, I dont know much about it other than I have heard it is very conservative, which doesnt bother me all that much. I just wanted to know what the job prospects looked like and anything else, that current students or soon to be 1L's might know. Also, I was accepted to UDM so I am trying to decide between the two. I am alittle scared of AVe Maria being such a new school, and what that will do to job prospects. The professors look great at AMSOL and very distinguished, so I see +'s and -'s to both schools. Would love to hear from some people and their thoughts on either of the schools.

from what I have heard you don't have to worry while you are on campus at all. I heard that there are a few bums and stuff like that, but you have that in all big cities, even Pittsburgh where I live. I am planning on living in the suburbs too. It seems like the safest alternative. Not to mention, it will probably save alittle on rent and other costs.
