Hey blue, your mom's FB account got hacked and it's sending out iPad spam.

*&^%, thanks.  do I need to tell her to change her password or what?

hah.  Is everyone busy moving back and stuff?

I moved last week.  As of yesterday, I became an official law student.  let the games begin!

congrats!

it's probably not going to be a good recommendation because schools are generally looking for someone who can speak to your academic abilities (or to a lesser extent your work qualifications and capacity), so some guy who you have never taken classes from or worked for probably won't make for a good recommendation.

To answer your last question, 3 recommendations is a good amount.  Probably 2 academic and 1 professional is a good balance if you can't get 3 academic.

when does everyone start classes?  everyone finished with their summer jobs?

Blue, looks like one of my friends got a call from your school and will be heading down there to start in a couple of weeks :)

aww yay!  tell him/her they can facebook me if they need anything!

Law School Applications / Re: Question about reapplications...
« on: August 06, 2010, 11:16:05 AM »
1) Do I need to retake the LSAT to reapply?

no, but you should.  a higher score will always help your chances

2) Do I need new letters of reccomendation?

no, the same ones are fine

3) I assume I need a fresh personal statement?

I don't think it's a necessity, but it's a really good thing to do- shows you put some effort into reapplying

Personal Statement / Re: Do you title your personal statement or not

I think in the corner of my essays, I had my name, LSAC number, and the type of essay it was (personal statement, diversity statement, question #23, depending on how the school's application worded what they wanted)
