I'm assigned to Professor Warren's mock class. Anyone else?
I won't be attending though. I'll only be at HLS for the Sunday schedule of events. ASW's coincide with final papers, so my time is very limited.
Either you're talking about an honors thesis, or your final semester has gone seriously wrong...
Seriously, though, how did you find out whose mock class you're in?
Edit: nevermind... I run all my email into Gmail, and my HLS account just hadn't forwarded the email yet. Anyway, I'm with Ogletree -- er, wow...

Anybody know Yale's preferred way to receive updates? My file just changed in a way that could just maybe push me over the acceptance hump, but I wanna be sure that my update is in their hands ASAP...

ok so im just going to assume that *no one* got an interview for the international law and justice program? how could no one on this board get an interview...
confused but relieved.
Yeah, I haven't heard anything and I was sorta kinda hopeful for a finalist nod. I definitely can't be at the ASW this weekend, so my odds weren't good anyway, but still -- shoot.
Makes the decision easier, I guess.

not enough for Harvard to surpass Yale.
Yeah, I realize, but cool nonetheless. There's some paper floating around that proves that, given the USNW ranking system, Yale's avg. LSAT could drop to 155 and still outrank Harvard.

I think (this is just a recollection from an old thread) that last year it happened a few times later in the season, probably for people on the waitlist. I also recall someone saying Toby asked a waitlisted person how committed they were to HLS if they were admitted during a phone interview, the person responded that they'd write the deposit check immediately, and Toby admitted them on the spot.

Announced today: http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=517919
"The Wasserstein family donated $25 million to Harvard Law School for the construction of a major building that will include an academic center, student center, and space for clinics, the school announced yesterday. It is the second-largest donation ever received by the school."
It's going to open in 2011, though. And they're demolishing Wyeth Hall and a parking structure. Eh, we'll see how it shakes out.

It says on the Registrar's site that 1L Orientation starts August 30.
Ah, cool, thanks!

(Hey, since there's a pool of potential HLS 1Ls in this thread, does anyone know what day everything starts up in the fall? I'm not *totally* set on Harvard yet, but I'm trying to plan my August out just the same...)

I'll be there. Forget the name of my ho(s)tel right now, but I remember that I had to go a few spots down the list just to find some open rooms when I reserved it. Note that this was mid-January, and that it's still a shared room. What a good first impression of Cambridge, eh? Best of luck!

Time to start checking my mail obsessively again...it's time for this cycle to end.
Honestly, looking at your acceptances, I feel a little better not getting the e-mail. Quite a smörgåsbord of prestige there.
