Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Loyola Los Angeles

Do you guys think LLS will have mostly students from SoCal, or a pretty good mixture of people from all over the country?

You seem mighty stressed.  I hope an acceptance to Loyola (with the incentive of having ME as a classmate) will be thrown into the mix to complicate things.  ;)

DSONG: You have to get your confidence up!  Sure, your GPA is low, but your astronomical LSAT will get you at least into a top 30, if not top 20 school.  Make sure you apply to the notorious LSAT wh0res (USC, Fordham).  Even the biggest GPA wh0re (Boalt) will have to let you through to at least the second wave of rejections.  Sheit, I'd admit you into the Chooster99 School of Law in a heartbeat based on your wit alone!  ABA accreditation pending... :P

I am going to have to second Choson's "pull your head out of your ass" argument.  I have a 3.53 GPA and a 161 LSAT.  Looking at the stats from just a couple of years ago, I basically though that I was a shoe-in for UC Hastings and UC Davis.  However, it is looking more and more likely that I will be headed to Loyola in the fall as well.  If anything, this entire process of applying to law schools should have humbled you, not magnified your ego.  Loyola has a fantastic reputation in the L.A. area, and if it's good enough for Johnny Cochran, it's certainly good enough for me.  I hope you drop the 'tude before entering law school, no matter where you ultimately end up. Good Luck!  ;D

LOL.  I would sleep with the entire 1L class at Harvard/Stanford/Yale to become one of them.   ;)

Yeah, definitely apply.  Do you know how many uglies I would have slept with to get a 178 on the LSAT?  ;)

Law School Admissions / Rejected by Fordham
« on: April 15, 2004, 10:49:43 AM »
Found out today VIA THEIR WEBSITE that I was rejected.  How f*cking heartless. I was turned off by the admissions staff's horrible NY accents anyway.  Must they hire people who sound like Fran Drescher? haha! It seems like the East Coast doesn't want me.  Their loss, it's all about the W-side anyway.   :P

I declined their offer about a month ago.  Good Karma has yet to come my way!  :'(  8 rejections in a row is tough.  I'm still surprised to hear about SC's incompetence; I would have to say that they were probably the most pleasant admissions office I had to deal with.

I hear it's nowhere NEAR as fun and cool as Loyola.  Plus, I won't be there!  :P
