Choosing the Right Law School / Re: LOCI and updated resume
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:55:29 AM »
I'm doing the same thing for my WL schools along with LOR's from Alumni. I'm also thinking about sending a pre-emptive LOCI's to pending schools that I am really interested in. With deposits coming up shortly, I figure it can't hurt to show your enthusiasm.

Anybody have any experience with UA WL? I'm having 3 UA Law Alumni send in LOR's directed to UA along with an updated resume. Anything else I should do??

I sent them an e-mail a few hours ago expressing my interest. If I don't hear back from them soon, I'm going to call in the morning. Thanks for all of your help, DU is where I would like to be.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not a non-trad applicant and I'm about 2 years removed from UG and have been working FT since Soph. year of school (law firm and real estate development) if that counts as "significant" experience.

Law School Admissions / Appeal Decision or let it go...
« on: March 02, 2009, 01:43:17 PM »
So this past weekend I was rejected from the University of Denver evening program with a 3.35/154. Although my numbers are low for the full-time program, I thought I would have an excellent shot at the PT program given that both my numbers were in the 75% range.

Needless to say, I am quite distraught about the situation and need advice. Do I call up the admissions people and ask for an appeal to the decision? Possibly a spot on the W/L? Any constructive input is appreciated.

AutumnFall-

PT or FT? And what were your numbers if you don't mind me asking.

I'm applying PT, but my LSAT is just under 25%, my G.P.A. is around 75%. AutumnFall, you give me hope my child.

My impression was that USD was a stickler on numbers...especially LSAT. But none the less, congrats, and hopefully I get some good news for PT soon...
