I have a GPA addendum (that I'm beginning to think may be unnecessary), and disciplinary action addendum, a letter of rec (that talks about my creativity, because its my play writing teacher) that I'm wondering if I should send, and a personal statement. Anyone else in the final stages of applying who would like to swap all these things? Or give some input even if you don't want to exchange? You all must understand how nerve wracking it is to finally turn in an app.

Thanks!

Law School Applications / Re: Posession of Alcohol as a Minor Addendum

Is alchohol possession something you even need an addendum for? I was cited once, freshman year, because my friend got alchohol poisoning and I had to obviously get her help. Then they made me take a quiz and that was the end of that. Is alchohol what they mean by 'disciplinary misconduct?" Or can I leave this off since I'm already writing an addendum for my grades.

You generally want to write something for whatever disclosures you need to make. And depending on where you want to practice, the bar may well want to know the particulars of every run in you've ever had with the cops (FL does), so this is a good time to get your story down.

This never went to the cops. It was just my school that wrote it down.

Luckily, I was able to forget about it, and was very surprised when I opened my e-mail this evening. The three weeks is nerve-wracking.

Was just looking at law school numbers, and you should be good for Villanova (I'm applying there too - although I only have a 3.1, and a 161, so I hope I get in) and American. Cornell students seem to have freakishly high LSAT's though, so, I don't think it's gonna happen. Good luck though!

I kind of have a question about this as well. GPA: 2.3, 3.2, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6, 2.75 (semester abroad). So, there is a clear upward trend. Because, like everyone, I was super smart in high school and never had to do *&^%, then college kicked my ass. But, how do I explain the bad semester abroad? I could say, i need time to adjust to change, but, that could look bad, like it'll take me time to adjust to law school. Or i can say, I didn't care, since i was abroad, but, then... I don't care.

Also, my school doesn't do +/-, and I get a lot of B+'s, which I believe are a 3.5 GPA? But a b is a 3.0. But does adding this in just seem like I"m blaming everyone but myself?

I got a 159 and immediately put on my "misery loves miserable music" mix.

I like this thread.

I feel pretty dumb compared to most of you. I only got a 159. I'm not sure if I should re-take it or not. My score already went up 5 points from when I took a sample test over the summer. And that was really just from doing a bunch of practice tests.
