Now THIS is FU$KED UP!!!
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — A 9-year-old gave birth to a baby girl in the western Amazon jungle, a pregnancy that authorities say may have been the result of rape, the National Indian Bureau said Friday.
The girl was found in the jungle in April by laborers working on a natural gas pipeline from the Coari oil fields to Manaus, a city of 1.5 million people 1,800 miles northwest of Rio de Janeiro, said the bureau, known as Funai.
She was taken to Manaus and went into labor on Thursday. The baby, weighing 4.9 pounds, was delivered by Caesarean section and reportedly was in good health, said Daniele Santos of the Funai press office.
The mother, of the Apurina tribe, has refused to speak, and the identity of the infant's father was unknown, Santos said.
"In some cultures it's natural for girls to have sexual relations after their first menstruation, but now we have to study if that was the case here, if their culture permits this," Santos said.
Mother and child were to remain under medical care for a month and then return to their village in Jaturana, about 75 miles from Manaus, she said.
"It's very rare, and we have to investigate whether it was rape," said Marina Mota, a press officer for the National Health Foundation. "The tribe wasn't that isolated, and had a lot of contact" with outside cultures.
National census figures show Brazil has about 700,000 Indians. Most of them live in the northern Amazon rain forest.

We should launch our own unarmed ICBM at North Korea and shoot it down with our Missle Defense system, raining debris on Pyongyang just to show how capable of everything missle-related we are... Plus we could say, "Oops, we were just testing our upgraded ICBM system and one accidentally got loose. Good thing we have that missle defense system in place and operational." Then we should send them the bill for "protecting them...
As long as there is no hiding of assests and some mutual sacrificing if things get tight, I don't see a problem with separate accounts, so long as each other are on the accounts too... For emergencies or such... This approach does of course require trust, but what are marriages built on, right?

I think the numbers are more indicative of disaffection with our Commander In Chief than adulation of theirs.
WTF is up with this "anyone but Bush" mentality... They still have food on the table and electricity, right? They aren't being shot on the streets for being stupid, are they? Sounds like freedom to me....

Hey, LL! Good news! I got on the waitlist at Widener! I know it's not much, but it's nice to know that I was considered seriously at other than a single law school...
Yeah, my father's entire family is just 10 minutes from there... Would be nice...
