The austin market is the hardest to break in texas. I only know of 2 UT students who got biglaw jobs in austin and they are on law review and have engineering backgrounds (will be practicing IP). I know of at least 15 in the top 25% at UT who struck out.

Locke in Houston no offered a lot of people this summer. I have heard similar stories in Dallas.

What firm is a better choice for corporate in L.A., Skadden or O'Melveny? Anything you know about either firm to help me decide would be greatly appreciated.
