Not sure who TF is, but congrats. You're smart for going to a nice, low-COL place to start your career.

I know. I hope that when I call tomorrow, they're not like: where were you two weeks ago (when it was postmarked)?

I think this sets the bar for wierdest post-OCI story: I just got a callback, in THE MAIL, from my top-choice firm, which I was certain had rejected me weeks ago but I didn't want to look. Wow.

Ha, yeah, for about a week first semester after I realized that law school guys were categorically not my type.
You don't like short, unattractive white collar gunners? I thought women were all over those.

I'm getting a sick sort of satisfaction out of writing this Crim Pro topic proposal. I bet writing the note will suck, though.
You need to find a cabbie who's willing to agree, ex ante, to a fixed price. If someone doesn't want to do that, either 1) guilt them ("oh, come on . . . you don't want to make an easy buck? I'm just a struggling student") or 2) make up competition ("your buddie back there said it was $50, but I told him I could do better").
That's just your opinion!!!

Oh, you've done it, too?
Your limbo line reminded me of this poem:
"It always comes, and when it comes they know.
To will it is enough to bring them there.
The knack is this, to fasten and not let go.
Their limbs are charmed; they cannot stay or go.
Desire is limbo: they're unhappy there.
It always comes, and when it comes they know. "
Cab from OHare to HP - how much?
$33 to downtown is "suggested fare." I always haggle down to $40
