Got deferred today by Rutgers Newark, even though my GPA is over their 75th and my LSAT was at their median just about.
Don't really care too much though, just a little confused. They said they will try to render a decision early april for me. In general, are deferals more hopeful than waitlists for an acceptance?

This was the law school that accepted me. I just open my inbox and see an email with the subject "Retraction from Miami Law". I felt like i was about to puke and i was positive it was going to say they took back their offer because of some stuff they found out about me or some error? So i open it and it says they accidently sent an email earlier today that was intended for new applicants, not accepted students, and it went out to us by accident. I mean jesus christ, what in the world are they thinking sending an email with a title like that? I almost had a heart attack

I have a 3.58 and 156. Got a letter from American today telling me I am on the waitlist. Should I scratch this off as a most likely reject, or what? Also, is there anything I can do besides finishing strong in the spring semester, to give me a better shot at getting accepted?
Also, will they send a final decision letter to me, or will they only tell me if i get in, and if not ill just be hanging forever?

Is checking my email a waste of time, or do a lot of schools email you first with a decision before they mail you something?

I am a non-URM, my GPA is a 3.58, and my LSAT is a 156. I have very strong essays, a strong resume and great letters of reccomndations. It will probably be months before i hear back from any of those places, but what do you guys think? Im already in at U of Miami, but it would be very nice if I could get into a Tier 1.

I got my acceptance my University of Miami today, 3 weeks after I applied on LSAC. I had a 3.58 LDAS GPA Political Science major, 156 LSAT and i am not URM. Did I get into the school by squeezing in, or was I a lock? I am trying to figure out, because this was one of the easier places i applied to, and i wanna see how i will stand at the other places

How do I even check? All LSAC displays is whether your app was trasmitted or not.How do i find out online the actual admission decisions?

Some of my applications don't even ask what i got on my LSAT, just when I took it. So how in the world are they going to know how I did? Also, if they just go by what you write in on your app, what is keeping people from lying? It doesn't seem like there is an official form that is sent to schools that document your LSAT, like there is for your GPA. So someone please tell me how this works?
