I'm going to break the mold a bit - I LOVE both NYC and LA!

Westwood is really beautiful... a college-town feel but with lovely stores and restaurants, palm trees everywhere... of course sunshine.  Tree-covered streets full of lovely houses give it a very neighborhood-esque atmosphere.  You don't feel like you're in a big city in the bad ways, but of course you still have all the conveniences of a large metropolis.

I've found UCLA's part of LA to be really... perfect.  Beautiful Santa Monica is only a short drive away...  oh instead of carrying on rambling, here are some pictures I've taken of Westwood/the law school/Santa Monica/PCH.  Ignore my stupid captions.   ;)

OOH!  The mail just arrived back home in Virginia today, and my mother tells me UCLA is giving me $25,000 a year!   :D

Man, do am I ecstatic and relieved... but now I have to maintain a 2.5 GPA.   :-\  just kidding.

i bet your parents are happy. Tell them they should give you the extra 25k each year.

To everybody who visited and will be moving to go to school, how did you like Westwood?  What did you think of L.A. in general?

i like LA and westwood; which is why I'm going to UCLA.  I think it has been settled on antoher thread that you are either an LA or NYC person.  I hate NYC, but love LA; others like NYC and hate LA

I have a 3.6, but this semester will be a 3.0 if i'm lucky. so i was on the verge of graduating cum laude and now i'm just a regular joe. and you know what, i don't care!!! i just want to leave. if you're already in law school, why on earth does it matter

so on your bio on the law firm's website, you can put XYZ Undergrad, Cum Laude

Yes, I sent them a copy of both my UVA and Vandy offer letters.  I guess it just wasn't my lucky day!  Floridaisy not happy!   :P

maybe you already covered this, but why are you going to UCLA over UVA if it costs more?

Are you serious?  That makes me pretty angry.  I'm glad it was you on the phone with them and not me.  I can't believe I'm going to have pay $20,000 a year extra to go to UCLA instead of UVA.   >:(

did u send the UVA offer to them?  You have almost identical numbers as I do, and I'm sure your ivy undergrad more than makes up for any GPA difference
