Some of my schools have asked for an RSVP for the student and the number of guests they are bringing. So I assume that they expect people to bring guests with them.

Mine took a week from when they received the letter (I sent it certified mail so that I knew when they got it).

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Scholarship negotiation - PT« on: March 02, 2009, 11:36:11 AM »I was reading the scholarship negotiation thread, and had never really thought about this. Now I think I'll give it a shot. I'm considering two part-time programs and have been accepted to 3 peer full-time schools with scholarships ranging from $12,000-$20,000/yr. The part-time programs have not offered me scholarships up to now, so I'm guessing they won't at this point. Just wondering if anyone has had success negotiating with part-time schools, since I know most schools don't give out money for part-time students. Any success stories? The scholarship that I negotiated was for a part time program. It was the only part time program that I applied to and they awarded me a scholarship based on the awards I received to attend a full time program. 7
Where should I go next fall? / Re: Scholarship Negotiation?« on: February 26, 2009, 05:58:50 PM »The above posts are encouraging... I did not mention every offer because I have applied to quite a few schools. I mentioned the significant offers that I received from schools ranked about the one that I wanted the scholarship from and the offers of full tuition from schools ranked lower. 8

Thanks for all of your help. It worked. I got offered a comparable scholarship from the school I would really like to attend.
