I took Kaplan and was scoring in low to mid 150's towards the end. My diag. was 143. Test day came and went and I scored 149. If I draw blanks this round, I'll study, retake and reapply next cycle.

It's not a life or death situation for me as I have a stable career. It's just that practicing law has always been a goal of mine, and with some more practice as well as some luck I'll hopefully fulfill that goal one day.

I post to help other LSD users know where schools are in their admissions cycles. It's a shame that people get kicks by putting others down. I feel like this is a forum full of middle school kids. I hope that posts like this come back to haunt you guys one day when your fighting for a seat on a court one day.

This is a quote from MSNC's World of the Weird.

"Lawyer Cindy Baker's client, Mike Koster, was charged with methamphetamine and marijuana possession and set for trial in October in Berryville, Ark., but he was also charged with possession of a bomb. Baker's trial strategy was to downplay the latter charge by bringing the actual bomb into the courtroom as evidence, but the horrified judge cleared the building and put out a call for the nearest bomb squad, and according to a source for the Carroll County News, the bomb was taken away and detonated. The judge also declared a mistrial and set a contempt of court hearing for Baker. [Carroll County News, 10-10-05] "

Welcome buslaw. I figured we needed to give our "class" a voice and an outlet to communicate.

Your soft factors should boost you app quite a bit. You have a very good GPA and having URM status doesn't hurt either. I wish you luck, and if you have any questions, please share. I feel that many people in our situation fear to speak up becuase of the high LSAT demographic that tends to contribute to this board.

Hi guys. I'm part of this group and thought that it would be nice to have a place were we can discuss the challenges we face. Here are my stats:

LSAT 2x - 148 avg.
LSAC UGPA - 3.1
Soft factors:
-1st gen american (of european descent with parents of little (mom) and no (dad) american education)
-attended and graduated from a Foriegn Language academy as I simulataneously attended secondary school (8 year curriculum - studies in the language, history and culture of my ethnic background)

WE - 1.5 yrs (I have a strong work ethic)
-work in product licensing and development. I've negotiated with the licensing agent of a multi-national liquor conglomerate and another license with a growing Western-American sport and sourced the manufacturing through networking and negotiations with manufacturers in China as well a major American based Lighter manufacturer.

I've applied to the following schools:
Touro
New England
Western New England
Quinnipiac
UCONN (my alma mater)
Albany
Syracuse
Maryland
New York Law School

Im interested in Corporate Law and IP (Licensing, trademarking, etc.). I'm open to any other suggestions as to what schools I may want to look into.

If the school requires a cert letter, you can still reprint it after your transmit your app.

Go to your LSAC account and click on Applications -> applications and find the school. Under "Law School information" it will state to click here to print the Cert letter if the school requires it.
