Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Re: WTF Rankings
« on: April 20, 2009, 02:47:04 PM »
I'm in Ohio and the Case Western fall was another big shocker last year...looks like they want to make a comeback to T50 though.

I guess big movements aren't really that unheard of?

I hope so :)

Loyola LA seems to be missing from PT...?

They only ranked the top 10.

I'm glad I passed on the Cuse and their $, even with the Vf'nP they couldn't stay in the top 100.

These are 100% legit, read the TLS post. So one reported that they had seen the magazine for sale in penn station in NYC so Ken from TLS paid a women in NYC who was posting to take cab over and buy a copy! There are pictures of the cover, they're were shots of the rankings pages last night.

I feel a lot better about walking away from the Syracuse scholarship for no money at Case after seeing that SU didn't make the Top 100 and Case moved up a bit.

I think you're making the rankings more meaningful than they actually are, but on the other hand at least you're just using it to confirm a decision you've already made rather than to change your mind.

Yeah, I made the decision before hand, but it felt good to see some confirmation - even if it's arbitrary confirmation.

I would absolutely take Notre Dame. With half tuition and the col in south bend as cheap as it is I think it's a very good investment. ND's name will carry well in Ohio if you decide to return home. ND has national name rec and it has a famously loyal alumni base. Take their offer.

I got in to Case Western yesterday so I won't be attending Syracuse. Best of luck to the rest of you.
