Personal Statements, Resumes, and Letters of Recommendation / Re: DS Length

That should be fine. I created a thread with the same question and it's 2-3 links under this one.. didnt see it?,4015731.0.html

A couple of posters made some comments there that helped me.

Though I havent taken the lsat yet Ive calculated that with just my out-of-state apps (assuming i dont get fee waivers to any of the schools) will cost me near $1,000. that's depressing.

I liked your story but unfortunately I just dont think the way it stands that it would be an effective personal statement.

Like the user above me, cut down the story of the boy- i know that you may feel it's the cornerstone of your essay but here's what youre doing wrong because youre spending more time and precious real estate on talking about the boy and not yourself.

Initially when i first started writing my PS i was in the same boat until i decided to make an entirely new one off a different topi.

I just looked this one up for you since Im taking a break.

D violates the Rule in the game itself- the one that states: V >G or P >V but not both.

V is bigger than G    AND   P >V which is not allowed. Only one of those could happen.

i appreciate both of your responses! how did i know Heartbreaker would come to my rescue! i swear, im on this site really for you and Blueskies  :)

thanks to the both of you though. i think i have to go with Heartbreaker here- adcomms dont want to read a huge DS when they still have other parts of your app they are busy with and thousands of other applications to sort through. i'll limit it to 1 page and try and touch on something different about my background.

the information has helped me tremendously. y'all are awesome!!  :)

37 views and not even a single reply? cmon guys!  :-[

1. How long are do DS's usually go for?

2. Is it okay to reiterate some of the things I stated in my PS?

I would appreciate any advice and input on this. Thank you so much LSD. I cant say enough the tremendous and wonderful resource this community has been to me. :)

Contract, if im not mistaken you attend UHLC right?

What do you like most about it? What do you dislike the most? Do you feel confident coming out of there and finding a good job?

I LOVE Houston and I would love to be there.
