I was initially rejected as a transfer applicant to UH. However, I really wanted to go there so I basically emailed and called everyone I thought could help. I contacted the Dean of Admissions, Dean of Student Affairs, and the Dean of the law school. After two weeks of persistent calls and emails, I received a call on Friday informing me that I was admitted. I am top 5% at TSU; #1 in Property, extra curricular activities; LSAT 161. i would advise to keep contacting the school. If you don't get an answer you like, then contact the next person in charge.

Transferring / T4 to T1

I am giving up top 5% rank, free tuition, and Moot Court at Texas Southern University to transfer to the University of Houston Law Center. I may be able to make Moot Court this year, but will have to re-earn my rank and scholarships. Is it really worth transferring? Texas Souther is a T4 and UH is T1 - #55.

Texas Southern basically has an open enrollment policy. Although, they have been trying to be a little more selective the last couple of years. You should get accepted. I would just keep bugging the admissions office there. I am a rising 2L there now and I don't mind bugging anyone there until I get an answer. I have frequently emailed the Dean of Financial Aid, Dean of Admissions, even the Dean of the school. That is the only way to get answers. However, i would steer clear of the school unless you don't get in anywhere else.
