Law School Applications / Re: Fee waiver question
« on: October 26, 2005, 02:41:14 PM »
How do you know if you're eligible for a fee waiver?

I am a social sciences/educational theory major, and I am so ready to be done! I started out as a special education teacher major, and hated EVER of it, so at least these classes don't seem so useless!

Is it really that bad? The school seems nice enough, and I want to work in Indy, so it can;t be that bad of a school, can it? Or would going to IU-B be better?

It's random as hell, but not a bad sign.

For me, I would lean towards the state school with less debt. I'll also be applying to IU-B and Vandy, but if Vanderbilt gives me a bigger scholarship, then I'll go there.
However, IU-B is a good school, and good for me locally, so if no money comes from Vandy, then I'll be at IU. Mainly because if I go to IU, I won't have any living expenses. Thank you, Mom and Dad.

I will probably use one for the state senator I'm interning under - i helped on his campagin, i have organized youth voters campagins for him, and done tons of work in office. I think if the political offical knows you well, and can judge the quailty of your work and your abilites, then its ok.

If he/she just knows you as some random voter, its probably not the best idea. I read in this one book about a guy who had the Vice president write him a letter, and all it basically said was that they guy had a nice handshake and seemed to be a republican. Not at all a good letter.

I had even though about a giving a gift! Thanks for the idea :)
