Job Search / Re: OCI: Is there any rhyme or reason?

Is there any ratio of screening interviews to offers?  On average, how many screening interviews does it take (given you meet or exceed the firm's grade requirements) to get a job?

Any thoughts?

I had commercial outlines (Gilbert's or Emmanuel's, depending on the subject) and E&E's for every class.  I rarely if ever used the E&E's once classes began, but they were very helpful to read before the semester began as an intro to the subject.  I would also recommend not buying anything until you know what your casebooks are because there are several commercial outlines that are keyed to the casebooks and they are by far the most helpful of any supplement that I used.

Also, in my experience, many professors shun the use of supplements, so they won't tell you which to use.  But they are wrong, use them anyway.

I am a dad that just finished 1L with 3 kids.  It is do-able but my wife also takes care of the kids.  BTW, to do well in law school my experience is that it is much more than a "full time job."
