Ha!  Good news for us chubbies:

That's interesting...I wonder why that is?  Here I am busting my ass to get in shape too...

Ugh, I can't get in touch with my new landlord (yes, this again?!?) and I have to find a place for my kayaks for the weekend.  Arg, I hate dealing with the stupid minutiae of being homeless.

This is very Ithaca.

Who is the boner who keeps saying that Spaniards aren't Hispanic?

Perhaps someone's alt who is having fun annoying you? (I'm just speculating, as I really have never had an alt.)

The poster has been around for awhile.  What an alt.

Minority Topics / Re: Does this qualify as Hispanic?

I've seen a lot of applications ask "non-white hispanic" so as half spanish half Italian wouldnt that be a mix of two "white" races even though hispanic?

Spanish is not the same as Hispanic.

Being Spanish is a sufficient condition for being Hispanic, although it is not a necessary condition.

Dude, you're so lost.  Go get yourself educated.

You are so wrong.  And a feminine hygiene product.  Life sucks, huh?

But is he/she from Cali?  I worry that not having any ties to the area might make it difficult.  Then again, maybe I can apply for internships/jobs after 1L there.  That might show a bit of dedication.  First things first though...I have to actually VISIT him out there before thinking of moving.  He just made it sound pretty damn awesome -- particularly the surfing.

She's not really from the area.  She lived kinda near LA as a kid, but lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 10-ish years before law school.

Also, I think there's less of a concern about ties to the area in major markets like NYC/LA/etc.  That could just be my speculating though.  The 1L plan is good.  If you have questions about SoCal, feel free to hit me up.  I figure spending the better part of the last 10 years here has to serve some good purpose :)

However you feel about US Soccer, you have to admit they probably have the greatest publicity logo of any sports team ever.

That logo is wasted on the 95% of Americans who know nothing about US history.

Is it lame of me to want that shirt, particularly BEFORE my trip on Friday?

The U.S. is leading Spain in the Confederation Cup (Soccer).  :o

It will not be long before the US is dominant in every major sport.

USA!  USA!  USA!

Good afternoon, MA!  My bff is moving to SanDiego.  Now I want to check out Cali as a possible after-school location.  Do you think I could get a job in LA?

Hello love!  San Diego is effing amazing.  AMAZING!  I <3 it with all my soul.  It's just so relaxed and chill.

You can totally get a job in LA from Cornell.  One of my good friends went to Cornell Law and practices at a big firm here in LA.
