Law School Applications / Re: Significant Others
« on: September 23, 2008, 10:29:25 PM »
Nice comic relief :)  Thanks for the advice, I guess I will have to not try and stress myself out and see how it goes.  Luckily, my SO is willing to sacrifice and let me go where I want, then try to follow me there.  But they don't give aerospace jobs out like they're crack either.  That's life I guess.

Law School Applications / Significant Others

Anyone out there having struggles by applying to law schools and trying to factor in their significant other?  My boyfriend is an aerospace engineer, and has no idea where he could end up.

Any advice on how to handle the situation?

Congrats!  How soon after you sent in your application do you get a password for you status checker?

Law School Applications / Someone please calm me...

OK, so I just sent in some applications.  I only have one letter of reccommendation currently in at LSAC, and another mailed on Monday.  All of my letters will be general letters.

I called admissions for the schools I applied, and they told me applying without all of my LORS currently in would be fine.

I didn't specify in LSAC each letter designation for each school.  LSAC told me that since my letters are general, they will just be automatically sent to the law schools once they come in (up to the amount each school allows.)

Did I do something wrong?  Just need reassurance.

Were all fee waivers priority track?  I know I got a fee waiver, but I don't see anything about priority track.

If not, I'm sending in my app by tomorrow.  When will be a good estimate of finding out?

Recommendations / Re: Waiting on a letter to be processed

If I met with my professors at the end of August... how long should I wait before asking them when they sent stuff in?  I told all of them I wanted to apply as soon as possible.  I know two of the three say they have, but I haven't heard from the third.

When would be appropriate to email, and possibly tell them about faxing?

Also, how do I get it to turn track changes off!!  Word 2007 is evil!  I don't want admissions to open up my personal statement and see a whole bunch of red marks.

If I am still waiting on LOR, should I submit anyways?  I'm anxious and anal, so I would like them in ASAP.  I have my PS and Why X statements done.  How does that work?
