Studying for the LSAT / Re: 10 Days until September Test Day!
« on: September 16, 2009, 05:09:59 PM »
I actually loved my test order for june. i wish i could get it again.

LG/LR/LG/LR/RC

its just for some reason I completely zoned out/flopped on the first LG which was the real one. I ended up getting destroyed in that section, leading to the destruction of the first LR.  I completely destroyed the experimental LG and was praying to God the experimental was real but unfortunately no.

2nd LR was only -3 and RC was -4.

Ugh. and no calmness.  my adrenaline was pumping as I walked in.  Plus I got screwed over by them making last names s-z walk to a different building in the heat. and i was standing in a hallway without AC to get signed into the room. completely screwed me. but no excuses, its done and over with.

I plan on crushing the september test.

LoL

Ok,

1. I'm not that crazy, I take only ONE test a day. beginning time goes from 8 or 9 AM.
2. I did take the June 09. zoned out screwed up on the very first section (games) and ended up blasting the whole test.
3. I want to break 170 this 26th.
4. But I'm hitting the slump a little bit.

Thanks guys. I'm going to take a break tonight, but can't fathom not doing it.

I plan on taking thursday and friday leading up to the test.

Yeah, I guess I KNOW the stuff, but I know for sure that my LR and RC isn't up to par. I do some stupid *&^%.

Ok, so my recent two PTs are below average.

today I took 5 sections straight without any breaks. Thought my head was going to crack. PT went kinda well until it hit section 4.

LRX/LR/RC/LR/LG - Dec 06 with Dec 05 LRX
2 /2 /6 /11/2

I just went over it and yeah. fatigue=rape me.

The passage "type" doesn't really matter for me.  It's just when I get questions wrong, it will mostly be focused on one passage (i.e. I would get 1 wrong on each of the 3 passages and get like 4-5 wrong on another).  Or sometimes, it would be scattered.

Well, I'm going to take Dec 06 in about 30 minutes. I'm going to try not marking up the passages that much this time. Hope it works.

same problem with me except i'm around 5 at the most.  Exception with today for some reason got smacked my RC (-9).  I dont think mapping, writing, note taking all that stuff is helpful at all. it just wastes your time.

To complete the full section you MUST, finish reading the passage within 3-3:30.  and pound through the questions totaling about 8:30.  I try to go through passages with 5-6 questions in about 6-7minutes.

read fast, read efficiently, and dont waste time marking/note taking.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try not underling and just circling a few words.

RC is just destroying my scores. I am -2 most for LG, under -6 LRs(2).  I need to break 170 this september.

any other advice on this thread would be wonderful.

LoL @ Earlcat

It's unfortunate to prep while in school. Ugh, impossible for me to do 5 sections in the morning before class. Like today, I only got 3 done and I started at 8:20 am. So i've been taking last one or two sections after classes.  Maybe that will be beneficial (?) since I'm taking the last sections after being totally worn out after classes??
