And btw, TStock's latest blog entry leads me to believe he is actively watching us discuss all of this. He includes a line about "as those of you have received a call from me recently would know" or something like that. But really, there is no link to that blog from the Harvard mainpage, and figuring that he links to LSD, it's obvious he knows we are watching him, and vice versa.
hey may have mentioned the calls in his blog because many of us who talked to him mentioned having read it. i'm not sure he actively reads this board.
I just got done taking the Dec 3 administration of the LSAT. There were 2 sections of logic games, so that was the experimental. Someone else taking the test with me told me during the break that if you see two logic games or two reading comprehension, that the first one is always the experimental one. Is that correct?
the experimental section is always either 1, 2, or 3. so if one of the games was one of those and the other was 4 or 5, you know which was the experimental. if both were either 1, 2 or 3, then you can find out only if you ask other test-takers the order of their sections. whichever section doesn't match up was unscored. (i.e., everyone has the exact same scored sections, but different unscored sections).
i just got the email requesting a phone call from HLS. very nervous about it. did you respond to the email with specific times to call? what is the general feeling behind the purpose of these calls?
time stamp 7:30
Congrats, heybrent. Not a surprise, though. When was your letter dated? Like some others, I feel like this is the crucial week for me. Which really means tomorrow or Wednesday.
thanks. letter was dated 11/21. got into berkeley and the phone interview from harvard all today, so it's been a crazy one for me.
in at georgetown via letter. handwritten note from dean saying "now that your interest in law is out in the open we hope you come to DC and georgetown to study it." referenced a semi-humorous detail in my personal statement. very nice and personal.
In a Boalt on the same day as G-town. Dean called me on my cell, then sent an email immediately. Mentioned subsidy for plane tickets to admit day in April. I told him admit day was on my birthday and he said "then we'll all have to sing for you."
i thought the tulane postcard was silly... their pull is that they exist... great... i mean, don't get me wrong, i like existence in a law school...
i got the tulane postcard today, and yes, it was very very silly. and almost a little bit distasteful. if i were a displaced N.O. resident that lost their home and i got that postcard, i'd want to send one back. that perhaps had a picture of my destroyed house on it. before and after.
but maybe they are just trying really hard to compensate for what must be a very difficult admissions season. if it is very likely that their applications will drop way down, maybe we should cut them some slack.
that's patently wrong. most schools take 3-4 weeks for your file to go complete after LSDAS report is sent, including required LORs. some people who sent in early sept/october havent gone complete yet. if you look on LSN, you can see if people who sent the app when you did have gone complete yet.
