I received a letter from Hamline today congratulating me on my acceptance to the class starting Fall 2006.

I now have an acceptance from at least one school in each area I may be assigned, except Virginia....come on UofR/UVA/W&M so me some love!   :-*

Anyway, it came in a thin grey envelope that kind of threw me for a loop...I thought...rejected!  ??? I wonder if they do this on purpose?  ???

The letter did not list any scholarship $$$ but did say that a follow-up letter would detail any scholarships given.

Accepted to Hamline today!  First one so am pretty excited.  Small envelope, one paper.

Received a voicemail and an email from Ave Maria congratulating me on my acceptance into the class starting Fall 06.  Offering a $10K/Year scholarship renewable each year if I keep at least a 3.0.

After looking at your LSN profile, I am convinced that this will be the first of many.  Best of luck!

Law School Applications / Re: I cant stop sending in applications.
« on: November 04, 2005, 07:46:30 AM »
I am ashamed to say that I have completed 28 different aps.  I still haven't decided if the LSAC web-aps are a blessing or a curse designed to suck more money out of the prospective student.

I am still thinking of applying to 5 or 6 more.  Someone please HELP!

I beat you all! I sent out 26!! Plus another extra one, for a study abroad masters program at Middlebury College in VT.

Congrats on the acceptance.

I have received my first acceptance as well, from Cooley with a 100% scholarship.

You can do better than Cooley, please do not go there. Plus, they give everyone with 163+ LSAT a 100% scholarship.

They have a 50.6% attrition rate, that kind of suggests how much they care about their students (i.e., they don't.)

I have heard the same thing, in addition they only have a 52% first time bar pass rate.  I am told that the reason for the attrition is that the top 25% of the class transfers and due to the lax admissions policy the bottom 25% fail out.

It is my insurance school.  I had to have one because I am quitting a job to go to law school and I could not do that if I was not accepted into at lease one school.

I have applied to several others.  They are listed on my blog and at LSN.
