Received my first rejection today - from OSU...The form letter was a little rough.

Oh well, I probably would not have gone there anyway.

Busy Day,

I was accepted at Toledo with a full ride, deferred at Chicago-Kent, and waitlisted at Wisconsin.

Congrats on Toledo and the full ride.  Waitlisted at Wisconsin, are you in state or out of state.  Just trying make a comparison because we have very similar numbers.

I am out of state.  MI is my state of residence, but I live in VA (Military).

Congrats Army... Good luck with Wisconsin.  Toldeo is a good deal though, would you like to go there?

I am not sure, I have been accepted to UofMN and UofRichmond as well.  I am waiting until I get a chance to visit MN to make my decision.

My man A2L, congrats again on all the acceptances!

Hopefully you'll end up at Pitt Law!

Thanks!  Pitt is one of my top choices and I have heard nothing but good things about their program. I would like to visit sometime in Feb. depending on my work schedule.

OSU website changed to "DECISION" today, but no word on what decision they made!  ???

What good is a system that provides you only enough information to heighten the suspense and anxiety of a process that already has way too much of both?

Anyway, I will be waiting by the mailbox.

It's awesome getting in where you totally weren't expecting, isn't it?

It is totallly unbelievable!  I keep reading the letter to make sure that I read it correctly.  Of course now I have to figure out how I am going to pay for it!

Yeah, and if Minnesota averages instead of taking the higher LSAT that means you'd be the biggest underdog winner in the miracle thread. Of course, you do have the soft factor of getting shot at for the good of the nation, so that might mitigate your underdog status just a bit.

According to Chiashu my odds for average were: 04.3%; taking the higher: 38.1%.  Either way it is a shock!

Congrats!  I was told by Minnesota that they take the average LSAT unless it's +4 over the last LSAT.  I guess they were true to their word on this with you.

Regardless of whether they average or not, I was not expecting the acceptance (especially since many folks with higher index numbers were rejected or waitlisted).  It would seem like they look past the numbers, either that or they really liked my PS.
