No question, for Chicago go to Illinois. ND probably places better outside of IL than Illinois but because of the tuition difference it's really a no brainer.

This is really bad advice.  Notre Dame has made a killing lately in the big Chicago firms, third only to the University of Chicago and Northwestern.  For example, Kirkland has extended offers to five Notre Dame students this year.

Choosing the Right Law School / Anyone know anything about JAG?

Had a couple of interviews with various branches for a 1L internship... seems like something I would love to do at the start of my career.

Anyone have experience with JAG?  What are the various differences between the branches, exit options, will it look good if I persue a political career, etc.?

Thanks, Chloraseptic relief...jsut attended a law forum and spoke to a really great woman from Notre Dame. So I may apply there after all!

Actually, of the 30 plus schools represented there, Notre Dame was the "best." Somehow, I think a similar forum in chicago or the coasts would be a bit different...

Notre Dame is great.  If you have any specific questions, send me a PM.

Minnesota is the highest ranked school you have a realistic shot of getting into.  What about the DC schools (GMU, American) or Fordham?

I got flat-out rejected as an in-state applicant with a 3.6 and a 163.  If you are a minority, that may changes things, but I'm not sure by how much.
