It really depends on how much time you devote to studying per week. If you take a very willy nilly approach to prep, then you could invest only a few hours a week for a full year. If you're motivated enough (ie willing to devote 20+ hrs/week) just a couple of months would probably suffice.

I started prepping about 3 weeks ago (3 months before the Oct. LSAT) and I'm already seeing significant gains (my diagnostic was a 151 - primarily because I wasn't managing my time well enough). I try to devote a minimum 20 hours per week, and tackle 2-3 preptests per week; although, if you can afford to do more, by all means.

Great! thanks for the quick reply.

By the way, do you know if admissions officers consider the undergraduate program and institution when consider applicants for admission?

My first year grades were less than par, and I'm attending a notoriously difficult school, but I'm still managing a fairly high GPA (top 3 years, averaged).

Does anyone have any information regarding the average times the OLSAS applications are available online? I checked the OUAC website for dates ( and they provide a very nondescriptive date of "Early August 2008". And how is information gathered by OLSAS - such as transcripts, references, LSAT, etc... ?

Id greatly appreciate if anyone is willing to share any past experiences with OLSAS. Thanks!
