Although I realize that references form only a minimal part of the application, I'm faced with a minor dilemma.
I have to choose between submitting a third academic reference, or an employer reference in addition to the two academic references I already have. I'm not sure which would serve to better bolster my application.
I will be applying as a regular/general category applicant, not as a mature or URM student.
Any input would be much appreciated.

I don't typically ask for help on this forum, and I'm a little weary about posting my Personal Statement publicly for direct critiquing - however, IMO the Personal Statement is the most dreaded part of the application process and I'd appreciate some insight and advice from as many volunteers as possible.
I'm wondering if anyone might be willing to exchange Personal Statments for critiquing. The standards for the Personal Statement (mainly, in content) differ between Canadian and American law school applicants. I'll advise you on the differences (for any American volunters) and I'll try to provide my best critique on the basis of my knowledge of what American law schools look for.
Let me know if you're interested.
ETA: I expect to be finished a first draft of my PS by the end of next week, so this is by no means an immediate request for volunteers. Just let me know if and when you have time.

The rules should be crystal clear by now.

I'm presently bored as hell and procrastinating.
So, if you had to choose, which animal would you assign to which LSDer?
Post pics if preferred.

Unfortunately, the LSAT was the easy part.
I'm terrible at selling myself and I have absolutely no idea where to begin with my personal statement.
If any current law students are willing to provide some guidance/advice, please PM me and we can correspond via email, LSD or IM.
Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I realize it's a bit early for this thread, but I can't sleep and I know everyone will be rushing home to post on LSD after the LSAT.
As for me, I will be excessively drunk when I get back. That should be an amusing story in itself.

Okay, I'll describe my situation.
I've done 27 PTs in the last 10 weeks, from oldest to newest, at regular intervals. My initial diagnostic score was a 151, cold, without any prior familiarity with the LSAT. From PTs 15 to 24 I've been scoring in the 170+ range, with an average score of approximately 173-174.
My problem. From PTs 20 to 24 I floundered without making much progress, on PT 25 I scored a 162, 26 a 158 and 27 (today) a 154. The worst part about these PTs, I felt like I was performing as well as I had when I was scoring 170. I'm certain that this nosedive is due to burnout, but I have no clue how to deal with it.
I've also been having dreams, literally nightmares about the day of the test for the last 3 weeks. Last night, I dreamt about finishing 2 LR sections and half a LG section before waking up.
Is this a sign of pretest anxiety bleeding through? (self evident answer)
Any experiences or advice?

Does anyone have any information regarding the average times the OLSAS applications are available online? I checked the OUAC website for dates (http://www.ouac.on.ca/olsas/olsas-dates.html
) and they provide a very nondescriptive date of "Early August 2008". And how is information gathered by OLSAS - such as transcripts, references, LSAT, etc... ?
Id greatly appreciate if anyone is willing to share any past experiences with OLSAS. Thanks!
