Moving to DC July 7th-ish. Orientation at GW starts August 13th. The apartment I wanted was available in Arlington on July 5th without any guarantees of it being available later so I'll be moving sometime mid-July. I have some time in between then and when classes and orientation start. I feel like I should temp to save some money, but I also feel like I should explore the city and relax if I can. I'm pretty worried about having to pay my mortgage + rent until my condo can sell.

My husband and I are moving from our spacious 2BR apartment in metro Boston to a small 1BR in Arlington, VA so I can go to GW and we have to get rid of a lot of stuff... any tips for running a yard sale?
