I know. That last little bit was a personal bias against Shaq. The Kobe package just isn't complete without all the accessories, such as a good big man...Gasol, who is unselfish with the spotlight. Tim Duncan, KG, Yao Min are all good examples of big men that are unselfish and as a result have benefited team harmony and chemistry. It's true Shaq did win one with Miami in 2005 but look at how his dominance and efficacy has declined almost exponentially. Phoenix this year would have been better off without him and his "hack a Shaq" cancer.
It's true that the Celtics have a good record against the west but that was during the regular season. Playoff basketball is a whole other story (see Hawks/Celtics series). The Hawks didn't even break 0.500 and still the Celtics were blown out by them in several games. True the Celtics may have the best regular season record but their playoff record is far from stellar. The Lakers on the other hand...let's just say Kobe locking up the league MVP during the playoffs was just a sign of their increasing dominance.
Also, the 2004 season was ages ago and the Lakers are a whole new team, especially after shedding the NBA's biggest dead weight...Shaq...he was holding Kobe down.
Lakers in 5.
The Celtics have had much longer series during the playoff and those old bodies of their stars are getting tired, whereas the Lakers have had more time to rest despite having tougher playoff opponents. For being the team with the best record in the NBA regular seasons the Celtics have been quite disappointing as a playoff team in the much weaker East.
I'll be starting my first year this Fall and plan on doing a JD/MBA degree in 4 years and I am thinking about focusing on international business. How beneficial would a semester abroad or summer program be? Also how potentially disruptive would one of these programs be on the law school/business school course timeline? Thanks.
Oh and if anyone would like to share study abroad experiences that would be awesome.
I got waitlisted at 6 schools and am still waiting to hear back from 2 more (I applied super late...like deadline late). All of these schools I have been waitlisted at are schools that are T2+ and I interested in going to any of them instead o the T3 school I put a deposit down at. Is it worth it for me to hold on to the waitlists until the bitter end? I'd like to know where I'm going this Fall sooner than 2 weeks before school starts.
