Nachas,
I am sorry that you got academically dismissed and my heart goes out to you. I wanted to know if you took any practice exams prior to the actual test. You mention that you didnt test well.

First of all i want to say thank you even though u were rude in your response you still offered advice. Apparently not all of us spend every waking moment on the internet.

Seriously??  Is this your first time on the interwebs?

hello everyone i have been assigned to read Law School without fear by Helene and Marshall Shapo for orientation i was wondering where i can find this book. I tried to find it in the library but they wont let me take it out. I also tried Barnes and Noble and was informed that it was out of print and that i should call the publisher which I did but i cant get a hold of anyone. Basically for those who have read this where did you find this book? Thank you in advance

thank you rkp52 thats what i just did i chose the school i feel is best for me

I actually chose JMLS over Michigan State because of the scholarship money they awarded me and because of it's location. Some people questioned my choice, but sometimes you have to do what is in your best interest.

Chicagolaw83, i just sent you a personal message

The placement at JMLS is pretty dismal, particularly if you are looking for mid to large firm work. Their reputation in the city isn't very good. The only plus is they have a pretty strong alumni base in the area, but you certainly can't count on graduating with a BigLaw job. Career Services at JMLS is also essentially worthless. I also wouldn't call JMLS nationally recognized.

Thank you Chicagolaw83....i was referring to it in regards to Touro i still have two more schools i am waiting on but i want to make a decision since i have to move and all that other stuff. Essentially i do want to be an attorney. do you currently attend John Marshall? i just want to figure out which will be the better choice

yea that thing is i dont have a preference for either Chicago or NY. They both have strong job markets in the legal field. I was looking at the fact that Touro has more competition from the 9 other law schools that are located in the city and feel like no matter how hard i try ill be pitted against them on the other hand John Marshall also has serious competition but only about 4 schools i think. Ultimately i want to study trial advocacy/ litigation Can anyone shed more light on these schools for me? Thank you in advance
