MP: Read the graphic novels on the NBC site. Hana's backstory (and her ongoing activities -she's been doing all kinds of things behind the scenes while all the other stuff is going on) is pretty elaborate. I guarantee you'll never get Candace and Hana mixed up again :P.

Yes, I'm obsessed. I know.

I think you can rule out a Sylar/Nathan switch pre-captivity (Sylar's I mean) because Nathan was around and about when Sylar was still being held. Possible a switch happened in the time since, but I doubt it up til episode 19 (the one before this one), because Sylar's knocked by Mohinder, who brings Peter to his mother's, where we see Nathan. Next scene is Sylar waking up, etc. Anyway, I'm thinking too hard about this.

And as for the battle, maybe not the same battle, but a similar Peter/Sylar face-off is what I meant

I don't think the switch can happen until Sylar kills Candace (the illusionist). Given that FutureHiro said that he'd referred Candace to FutureBennet's underground railroad, I think we can safely assume that she wasn't killed until some time AFTER the bomb.

Me too. It should also be pointed out that she's one of the few girls on the planet that is equally hot as a blond and a brunette.

Wrong.  Blonds aren't attractive.  Know your audience.

 :D

I don't really have anything against blondes, actually. One of my favorite people on earth (HD) is very, very blond. Thanks for the brunette defense, though.

Carry on.

I think Matt definitely was a minion, at least when he thought it was still Nathan. If Claire had left, he would have asked Matt or the Haitian to find her, I'm pretty sure. But that's just my hunch on the psychology of a character in a TV show. I'm supposed to be studying law.

But everyone thought Clair was dead. The only reason Matt found her is because he read Bennet's mind. I don't think Matt turned her over to fake Nathan thinking Sylar would kill her. I think he like every other person was afraid of people using their powers for evil...which is why he is working for homeland security. Sylar is as evil as they get. He would not help him. Plus Sylar is supposed to be dead. Everyone thinks he is the one who blew up New York. So he can't have minions if no one knew he existed.

Sorry, I think I didn't make myself clear. What I meant was Matt was a minion of Sylar's because Matt was ready and willing to follow his orders (because he thought Sylar was Nathan, his president). If Sylar had in fact not killed Claire, and Claire had escaped, I believe Sylar would have called Matt and said something like "Claire is feeling a little overwhelmed about our reunion. I think she might have run away. I'm really worried something might happen to her. I need you to find her." Matt, trying to impress his boss and perhaps even genuinely worried about Claire's safety, would have had to look for her. I was only being tongue-in-cheek when I said the whole "minion" thing. My point was, Sylar would NOT have let Claire go without some sort of effort to keep her.

Additionally, I don't think Matt just found out Claire was alive. If you rewatch, when he first talks to Mr. Bennett about the Underground Railroad thingie, Matt refers to the fact that they're both hiding children, and says something like "Except mine isn't the President's daughter." I'm pretty sure Matt had known about Claire for a while, but had kept quiet because Bennett was also hiding his son and his wife. As soon as he realized he'd lost Hiro and was going to be in trouble with Nathan, he decided he needed some sort of consolation prize for his boss so he went to get Claire.

No problem. I love talking about this stuff, as you can probably tell. Plus, I'm in class right now, and this is a welcome distraction.

Shape shifter girl was Candace- Sylar killed her. That's how he got the ability to shape shift into Nathan.

The girl who got shot was Hana (Wireless). She's the girl who teamed up with Ted and Matt to try to destroy Primatech.

I understand what you're saying, but it seemed to me that if he didn't kill her he would have mentioned that at some point (something along the lines of "Hey, minions, go find me that girl!" or something.) I don't think Sylar would just take that kind of disappointment lightly and never mention it again in the following ten minutes of the episode, given how many years he's spent looking for her. Also, I don't know if he would have revealed his identity to uber-powerful Peter (not to mention telling him he'd killed his beloved brother) if Sylar didn't know he had the ability to regenerate.

Even though there will be.  Although its sufficiently embarrassing that most send one in for 2L year.  And they also have to go through hell to get pics for their IDs when they first get to campus (a different set of pics that you perhaps sent in).  People who send pics in early just get their IDs in the law school instead of trekking all the way to wherever it is you take the pics.

It's not that bad, Alci. You just have to go to the ID office (which, if I recall correctly, is a few minutes' walk from the law school) and get your picture taken. It took all of 10 minutes, I think. However, the picture might suck, and then you're kind of stuck with it, so if you'd rather not risk a bad picture day, send one in.
