Also Duckie. That's not a name, it's a major appliance!

Thank you for this.  One of my friends had a "Blaine" alter ego for a while, sort of the 80s + 90s version of popping collars and shooting finger guns.  Classic.

Guys, can we talk about John Hughes for a sec?  Do you think he was a coke addict?  Why did this rich guy die of a heart attack so young?  I'm actually very sad about this.

He was certainly young, but plenty of people seem to have heart attacks that young. Whether they're deadly or not seems like a crapshoot.

/talks out of ass.

I think your ass is probably right.  And he was a serious smoker, so there's that.  Still, I think of rich people as having such good health care.

lethargic.  taking questions.

Why don't courts acknowledge the distinction between the requirements of the two separate clauses of FOIA Exemption 7(E)?  ???

Exemption 7!  I recognize that.  Law enforcement is the slipperiest!  I don't know anything about 7(E) in particular, however, and may have to look it up now.  Curiosity killed the cat and all.  I'm sad I don't have Westlaw access anymore. :(

Meanwhile, do you have access to one of these?  I saw a very good presentation by a dude from an animal rights organization about FOIA and he said that it's indispensable.  I wonder if it's available on Westlaw if you don't have it handy.

And I'm so glad you did!

I love it too.  I hope I can stay here.

On that note, I think I ought to try to get to sleep.  It's late.  Good night, loves.

A real gentlelady would have escorted you home.  Egg on my face.

As a current Cooley student, I can say that having opened this thread to the last page and seen the posts, I'm looking forward to finishing studying for the night, pouring a nice Jameson on the rocks, and reading the back and forth hyperbole coming from both sides of whatever argument happened here.

Perhaps you should consider drinking rubbing alcohol instead of Jameson... Probably a large quantity would do you well.

Take it to xoxo, will you?

Yes, Fulton.  But then I was wandering around the WTC and ended up by Battery Park.

Oh! I think you just got out at the wrong end of that mammoth station. It's very long from east to west.  That's such a creepy area to walk around at night.  I am glad you made it back in one piece!

Yea dunno bout Hughes really awfully young what was it a heart attack.

bad news all around today my buddy tells me his folks are divorcing after like 30 years of marriage, they tell him two days after he takes the bar exam.

Today was busted!

Sorry I missed this before. Yes, a heart attack!

And I was very sorry to hear your news from earlier.  I hope your state gets it together soon.  Dummies.

eta:  But I am taking a cab back this time.  I may not have mentioned this out of embarrassment before but I managed to get off at the wrong stop (with the right name...?) when I was there last and ended up wandering around for an hour before I gave up and found a cab.

Oh no!  You didn't!  You should have called me.

(I wish I could remember what stop you were supposed to go to so I could retrace your steps.  Fulton?)

He was very young indeed! It freaks me out!

I also value Ferris Bueller head and shoulders above the rest. I like the Breakfast Club okay, but I don't really get the hubbub over Pretty in Pink.

Ferris Bueller is one of my all-time favorite movies, but Breakfast Club was really serious business when I was in middle school.  Sixteen Candles is also pretty good in its own way.  Pretty In Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful (really the boy and girl versions of the same movie) were merely good for young teenagers at the time and grew old very fast.  The Pretty In Pink soundtrack was fairly important, though, as these things go.
