Nothing has the sheer gravitational mass of SFLSD.

::credits self::

Hi all!  I am just driving by.  I owe some of you emails and they'll come along soonish!

Also, Mu: it was something I made on the social networking website?  Ring a bell?

Are we talking about Captain Crunch? I didn't know he offered memberships.

MMm, if he did, I would totally be a charter member.  I love that sugary, burning feeling.

I am so not hot enough yet to work out at Crunch.  "No judgments" "no smudgments"

Doubtful!

(Also, ftr, that ship sails pretty quickly at Crunch.  I mean, I used to belong to a Crunch, for instance.)

I mean, eventually I'm going to be there for more than a day, and I can just move everything back an hour, etc.

i think the norm in this town is to get to work by 10.

True, true.

::looks at shoes::

Actually, when I had to be in court, I'd usually get in by 9-ish.  But still.

if anyone cared, don't you think someone would have asked?  i don't know; maybe i'm reading too much into it.

I was just assuming that firms like UG latin honors/scholarship prizes, which many list in website bios.

well they probably care about that a little bit more than UG grades.  still, UG honors/prizes start becoming irrelevant after a while, i think.

One can hope! ;)

P, you seem to be in a road-trippy way.  Any chance you'd consider taking a public thing southward for some DVR'd HBO vampires + bourbon in a few weeks?

Oh man oh man, I would be into this, but I think I will still be out west.  Please send me an email with thoughts!  You're speaking my language!

Undergrad grades DO count. Any career services representative or recruiter would tell you this. Out of the big three quantitative measures, law school GPA counts the most, then the LSAT, then undergrad GPA. Law school GPA counts for way more than undergrad GPA. I'm not sure how far you would get with SAT/ACT, GRE, or another standardized test.

This thread is about whether undergrad name matters, not whether undergrad grades matter.  But I'm sure you're right that some firms do care about undergraduate grades.

You're the transferor, not the transferee.

Oh, that's right: I'm glitterati.  I always get those confused.

does not knowing who neil gaimoan is make me a philistine?

No.  It's partially a sub-generational thing and partially whatever that is that differentiates people who can handle scifi from people who can't.  Nonetheless, he's very good.
