Law School Applications / Re: Harvard to ban internet?

I didn't have a laptop for Fried's class on Constituationalism in March.  I fought to stay awake.  It was sad.

I went this past time and almost died.  You should have warned me.

I was in Constitutionalism as well.  And also became very tired indeed.  I was watching a girl check Italian newspapers neurotically.  Fair enough.

congrats!  boston seems really fun.  i just visited, too.  and congrats on working stuff out with your dad.

Law School Applications / Re: Waiting for a year- I badly need advice

Based on the doubts you've expressed, if I were you I'd reapply next cycle.  There's SO much you can do in the next year both for yourself and for your application.  Why go to school w/regrets when you're paying so dearly for it?  Also, being in my mid-20's as well, I kinda see an extra year as a chance to live it up.

NYU does have the great LRAP, though...

But Harvard's is great, too.  It's a nice dilemma to have.

Financial Aid / Boalt?

Considering the apporaching deposit deadline (4/14), has anyone heard anything yet about financial aid offers?  I'm wondering if I should call.

I'm thinking it should be between NYU and Harvard if you're thinking Int'l, Public Interest, or HR - see who gives you a better deal.  In my case, I'll probably be getting less money from NYU than H since H is only need-based and NYU factors in merit (and I didn't get any scholarships  :-\).

show him the rankings.  if he's THAT impressionable, he should buy it.  sorry bout your situation.
