I am indeed, although I have started a little later, I still went to an Easter service and the like, but I will easily be here until 11PM, maybe later! Still, I have slacked off some today b ecause it was easter.  oh well, in 5 weeks it'll be summer, with no exams to worry about and real legal work to do. It's gonna be amazing. Having weekends totally free..........that's gonna be something.

Personally, I think this is a see the professor in person thing. I think it'd be easier to make yourself see innocent in person than an email. Just my 2 cents.

Thats I'd be POed at my roommate

I have 4 questions for you:

1) What's your definition of mid law; how many attorneys?
I think the Career services lady said it was 25-50, but I'm a little unsure
2) And, how much can they expect to get paid?
It was in the 80-90K area

3) What about you and your classmates? Are you guys getting any summer clerk offers yet?  If so, what kind and how's the pay?
A lot of people appear to have judicial internships or public intrest gigs the first summer.

4) How many people actually get jobs through On Campus Interview?  The ones who don't get jobs or don't qualify to get jobs from On Campus Interview, what other services through the university can they use that's helpful in finding jobs?
Career services had it to be around 19-23%. I don't know from personal experience. I also dont know what other services. Sorry...

well I hope that at least helps a lil. good luck

Current Law Students / Re: Political Science Advantage...

It won't help you at all, but honestly I don't think any major would give you a real advantage. I'd say go Chemical Engineering just so you could get used to doing a ton of work and analyzing problems.

I was a political science major because career services suggested it for law school. The only thing it did for me was connect me with some good ex-lawyer professors for LOR and helped insure to myself that I wanted to go to law school. However, as far as substantive help goes. there is 0. I know a few extra cases in Con Law, nothing helpful at all.

I suppose one way to look at it is Poli Sci is easy, and you can really focus on the LSAT. Forget about what major will best give you an advantage, because there isn't one that will allow you do to magically better in law school than other majors. I'd say instead just focus on the LSAT night and day so you can get a high enough score to go to a school where even if you arent as good as everyone else you can still get a job easy. I wish I had done that instead of not taking the LSAT seriously enough.

Good luck

I feel like I know the areas I struggled in, and are correcting them. What do you think?

Honestly. I wish I hadnt ever read those books about success or whatever. I'd say the best thing to do is there is no magical book or method that's going to allow you to do well in law school. If you work hard and try to understand it I think you'll be fine. Just my opinion though, I'm sure some people swear by those books. I guess I should say that there is not ONE magic method, you'll have to just end up doing what works for you.

if you right click on it and go to "edit slides" it allows you to just run through them as you like

That is fantastic, thanks!
