Temple / Re: Order of the Coif - Why not Temple?

yea, i dont think its a big deal.  all it is is a fancy way of saying youre in the top 5/10% or whatever it is.

Besides, Villanova doesn't have a Freemason Temple.....and not to mention, the school costs an arm and a leg to attend.

General Board / Re: Druggie at Law School.....Pissed!

This dude is obviously a flame.  But on that note, i met up with some guy in college that i went to middle school with.  Back then, he was known to smoke a lot and roll a lot.  He was very bright, but was always one of those people who never listened to what anyone said and had to try everything for himself and make the mistakes for himself.  Well we became friends again in college, majored in the same major, etc.  Then at graduation, he graduated sum cum laude (top 1% or so at my school) to my extreme surprise.  Since, hes been working on Capital Hill and deferred his admission to gtown law so he can "enjoy" the new congress some more.

Id be more concerned with being surrounded with squares like the OP (though hes not legit) than the person he described.

Temple / Temple Law apparel is kind of weak...
« on: June 06, 2007, 08:14:50 PM »
I looked at the online bookstore and they have one weak temple law t-shirt that is being modeled by a....ahem a nice young lady in a kind of awkward pose...

No hoodies, no hats, no bumper stickers, etc etc...  My rents want to show off their law student son ...what are they to do?

Well im wl'ed at the one (the only) school that I would ever really go to over Temple.  So i also dont want to have to commit to a lease too early only to find out later that I got pulled off the wl.  I dont know how long i should wait though.I wonder if mid july would be too late to secure a nice room at the very least.

I wont get a chance to really go and check out these neighborhoods until like late June, early July.  Will this be too late to lock down quality places if i plan on moving in in say late to early Aug?

How about the East falls area?  Seems close to Manayunk and CC and cheap...

how do you know this that far in advance?  I assume just good ol'fashioned nepotism (not that i wouldnt take advantage of it).

An actual clerkship gig for a judge doesn't seem to happen often for 1l summers...  Also, a fed level clerkship is much more prest thatn a state level one fyi.

Actually judicial internships are probably the most common 1L position of all.

he said clerkship in his original post.
