well there is something you don't see everyday :o

Northwestern accepts about 20 transfers.. Not too transfer friendly.  I am unsure of Mich

You probably should wait to see how your grades turn out after this semester, if you do well, take a summer course or two, and that might help boost your grades up significantly.  This point in the game, I am sure (unless you have a fat scholarship), that you have racked up some debt, so your in a tough situation.  If you have relatively no debt at this point, and don't do too hot this semester, cut your loss now.  Outside the government and wage labor jobs, who still works only 40 hrs a week?   :-\

Job Search / Re: So, how did the job search go 1L's?

well i can't vote since my job isn't an option, but i got a position working as a law clerk for a corporation's legal department. It doesn't pay $2600/week but I still pull in a decent amount of $ so I'm happy. In fact, in my school, a lot of 1L's were able to find jobs, paying ones at that. It's all about putting the work into the job hunt.

To be fair, my job doesn't pay $2600. The salary got recently got raised thanks to NYC.  :D

 :'( LUCKY!!!

take LSAT again, even if you did get into one of those schools... its not worth it going to those schools without any scholarships.  I dont think that you will qualify for any with your numbers, and why rack up debt to go to a school that isn't really marketable to begin with.  You have a decent GPA, I dunno about your school, just retake LSAT and work for a year!

I would recommend PMing Uchi2L because I know that he transferred after his second year of law school.  Perhaps you can provide you with some insight
