Transferring / Re: Chances For Admission
« on: June 24, 2007, 06:35:48 AM »
I fail see what somebody throwing out a yes, no, maybe so has to do with anything.  Yea you have a good chance at this school, you have a so-so chance at that school.  What is the point?  To help you sleep better at night or something? reaffirm your own hunch?  I have no problem with people asking.  However, you asked for an opinion, and I gave you mine. Asking a bunch of your peers what your chances at x school is asinine.   Either way, I wish you the best of luck with transferring.   :P

people need to stop asking others what their chances of getting into x school is.  Ultimately it is up to the admissions committee! If you want to know whether or not you will get in, there is only one way to find out... APPLY 8)

there is NO reason to go from a t1 to a t3/4! Don't do it.  Your better off working your arse of the next year trying to break into the top 1/3 and 1/4.  Job prospects in Boston would be better coming from American than Suffolk/Northeastern.  And worse case scenario, you transfer to Suffolk/Northeastern, and you place in the 50%, than you are f**ked for the next few years after you graduate!  Word of advice: Don't discuss your relationship problems in your Personal Statement...BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR TRANSFER ATTEMPT!!!... :D

Current Law Students / Re: What happens if I quit my 1L job

look on the bright side... you only have 2 months left.  The cost of sucking it up far outweigh quitting.  Time flies buy.

yeah, the JD trumps your paralegal certificate, so it wont serve any purpose.

In after 2-3 years of practice with law experience under your belt, you can transfer into a biglaw job.  Stick it out.

schools wont look at your LSAT score.  The point of your LSAT is to predict how well you will do your 1L year.  Since they have yoru first year grades, why would they need to look at a new LSAT score?  They already know how well you performed your first year.
