This game has saved me from certain death from boredom at points in many classes. It's only moderately addictive and only about as involved as Fantasy Football, but I think it's a lot more fun because it's like an RPG. You create a player, train him, buy his equipment, and get him drafted by a player-controlled team. We formed a team from our law school, GWU, and we'd like to try to form a league amongst just law schools. The next season starts in a few days.

Here's the link, it's completely free:

Would you ever ask about the firm's softball team?

I actually got an "email-back" this evening--a reply from a post-OCI-interview thank-you email.

But, despite the hope this thread has given me, all of my thin letters have been dings.

Question, Are most of you doing thank you letters? And if so, snail mail or email?

Write (handwritten, if possible) thank you letters for everybody that you meet in your callback as soon as possible, but don't bother thanking anybody after a screening interview. Send email thank yous if you want, but I think snail mail makes the best impression if you think they'll get it before things go to the hiring committee.

Im glad I asked. We were told typed letters and to definitely send them after screening interviews.

Yeah, what I'm saying is just a generalization of what I've been told up to this point, but it all of course comes down to the firm. The smaller the firm, the better of a chance you should send a thank you after a screening. Also, if you have crappy handwriting, don't handwrite anything, stick with typed.

Handwritten just seems more personal and appropriate if it is a job that you really want, and feel like less professional distance will come off as positive. Again, many maintain that you stay uber-professional at all times, and it just comes down to the firm. Hope this helps.

As you may know, for U of Wisconsin and Marquette it is not really a "bar passage rate" at all, since they don't even have to take the Wisconsin bar.

CU places pretty well in the government in DC, especially the GAO.

Jew scammers at Roger Williams law school admit to lying about employment rates and even salary statistics but they won't do anything about it.  They also admit the school hates blacks and poor people.

DISCUSS

Sounds to me like this might be the only guy ever to get rejected from Roger Williams and genuinely be angry about it.

What was the average time lapse for the phone callbacks?  I've heard anything from one day to one week.

I got notification of my callback about 48 hours after the screening interview. I hear this is about the norm for big firms.
