I was expecting it to be Nix who'd make the front page first, though for far different reasons.

Sure, but how many people actually have one?  The # of places that accept AMEX have dropped considerably in the last decade and Discover has been on the opposite path, gaining acceptability almost everywhere.  In my opinion from what I've seen, DISC has taken over AMEX's spot as the 3rd place card.

Not a chance. Amex OWNS the high end customer market. My roommate worked for Chase and he said that other companies pine for Amex's clients.

As for how many people have one, more that you would expect I presume ;)

Pretty sure you can still pay tuition with a credit card - I've done it in the past.

It appears they accept MC and Discover, but not Visa.

What about Amex? Who the hell carries MC or Discover?

Who the hell carries AMEX anymore?  Though i agree, it is weird that they don't accept Visa.

Amex Black is probably the most prestigious card you can carry.

Yep, between work,  two kids, and a wife, I'm swimming in time.  I find it really hard to believe more folks haven't cracked open their books to get a look at what they'll be learning for the next few months.

There is not a chance of me cracking a book until our first day assignments are up.

Wow congratulations tonyp! My boyfriend was actually just explaining how good that looks to firms (to say that you've passed the patent bar before applying for summer jobs).

I heard it looks terrible to firms to have a boyfriend.

Don't kill the messenger  ;)

There's a used furniture store near UT that will do mattresses for a much more reasonable price than those listed here:

http://www.austinfurniture.net/814422.html

You can get a quees-sized mattress and boxsping in their "high quality" catagory for $370. I haven't seen them yet, but this is probably what I'm going to do. I don't knwo about you guys, but $600 feels like  lot to spend on a bed.

Try three times that!

However, I have been sleeping like a baby, and my back pain is gone!  ;)

Also, there is absolutely no way I would ever buy a used mattress. Mattresses are for two things only ... and I am not grossed out by who has slept there before me.

I wasn't aware that you were allowed to pass the bar without law school. Then what is the point of law school? You clearly know your stuff.
