Choosing the Right Law School / Scholarship Info

LSAC told me the same thing when I bought the LSACD, but then when I went to apply, well, I haven't found any schools that waived their fees (but I'm also only looking at tier 1 and tier 2 schools)... Thanks!

Washington and Lee

Maybe UofC should offer a proofreading course.

uh...what school is it?

I'd rather not say.  Just try to think of it as the top non-national school (ranked in this case between 35-45) in the area you want to practice (be it NY City or Montana).  It seems that anytime someone posts a school on here, it comes down to attacks/defenses of the school and the school's location.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about Indiana. Yes?

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Would you choose a free ride at DePaul

You can't attend DePaul with the idea that you WILL get into the top 10%-15% of the class. However, if you could get into the top 10%-15% at DePaul, but not at your other alternative- you can forget a difference in starting salaries.

Is that Nick Nolte, or Gary Bussey?  :)

Nick - but is there really any difference?

Law School Admissions / Washington - Lewis App Fee Waiver
« on: September 13, 2004, 08:14:27 AM »
I just got a app fee waiver from Washington-Lewis. My initial thought was that I was receiving it so that they can boost their applicant pool, only to reject me and have a lower acceptance rate. Do schools do this?

I'll be there at the Chicago Forum on Friday. Look for me- I'll try to clean myself up.

Law School Admissions / Has anyone been to a LSAC Forum before?

If you've been a member of this board for a while and have read the information that LSAC is giving about what the forums will have (ie an admissions workshop), you probably don't need a lot of the services that they offer at the forum.

I was wondering if any of you have attended one and if it was helpful to those of us that understand how/when to apply, etc. Do you network at the forums? If so, what did you bring with you?
