if you replace SS with the § symbol- whenever you type words that end in ss, you'll get the § symbol instead.
This is not true. I've been using this method for over 2 years. The only time SS is replaced by a section symbol is when i type 2 capital S on their own (space_SS_space). This works even if you were to type a word in all capital letters, or all small letters w/ capital SS in it.
Before you say something doesn't work in a factual way, you should try it first...
Before you say something works in a factual way, you should inquire as to which word processor is being used. I've had the problem with using that method and, quite frankly, it's just easier to type ALT 21 then having to create the little macro in the first place.
