Current Law Students / Re: How are you studying for finals?

I think that a bunch of us are going to get together and make a game out of it. Also, I'm going to review my notes and maybe look at some outlines that were made available to us. Maybe do some flash cards for torts as well, cause that i think shall be my hardest test.

well, a graduate just got a job with Arrent Fox in DC, and apparently this is a good firm? I'm thinking maybe GULC, ND, or a school like that. But I don't know. I do like the small school atmosphere and the mission and such, i just don't want to be stuck if something bad happens with the accredidation with the FL thing. (although they apparently might not be moving, and are rumored to be moving to tier 2 this year).

Transferring / Ave Maria
« on: November 14, 2006, 05:03:11 PM »
So I'm at Ave Maria right now. Some people are very negative about the school, but here and at school. Should I think about transferring, or stay here (I am happy with the small law school atmosphere). I am doing pretty well in my classes and did good on the practice exam, but I obviously don't have any REAL grades yet.

What should I be doing if I am planning on transferring?

Where did you transfer from in MI? I think I have a clue, but just wondering.

I have to agree with the people that said it is a counteroffer and therefore no contract was formed.

Job Search / Re: How important is the name really?

Don't worry, work hard and get good grades and make sure that you get good summer experience. That's all that matters really. And remember, after you're out for a couple years than nobody cares anymore, just like undergrad. you'll have proved yourself and that is what people will go off of in offering you jobs.

The "sorostitute" who constantly checks facebook during class to see if anyone has posted on her wall...loves to hear herself talk and wears a multitude of "Delta Zeta" T-shirts

The "big man on campus" who every friday says "F*ck yea I'm drinkin tonight, are you drinking tonight?"...has to make it known how cool he is that he's able to get plastered every weekend and still make it through law school.

The URM student (no offense to any minority students) who blames the lack of "academic support" at our school for her poor grades...yet doesn't connect her unsatisfactory grades with chatting on IM during every class throughout the entire class period.

The same student who drives you nuts b/c she can chat on IM during every class yet still has excellent grades.

The girl who hasn't figured out that when you get called on in class or ask a question, that you need to talk at a volume higher than a whisper.

I could probably come up with at least 5 or 6 more...I've got quite a few characters at my school.

Good job, I definately can say that it seems these people exist everywhere. What about the girl that never has a clue what's going on but always seem to have an unrelated comment?
