My advice: date outside the law school.

Indeed.  Date someone like the beautiful Miss Amy Sue Cooper:

Anyone go there and know why this might be?   ???  Just curious what you think of the school.  Thanks!

Conservatism.  Pepperdine's law professors have been rather ridiculously partisan in supporting President Bush.  Bush unpopular = Pepperdine unpopular.

Then why in someone else's rankings post did you put the picture of a random chick moron?  This guy is a troll, don't even give him the satisfaction of a response.

Do you honestly believe that hot girls have nothing to do with rankings?  Hot girls are the reason we rank, moron.

Up 3 and on a steady trend...  Watch out Yale!!

The only serious rivals to Yale are Harvard and Stanford.  YLS:2000::Playboy:mid-'70s.

I'm just curious:

A)  Why do you keep slapping pics of sleazy porn-starish women all over this site?
B)  What do breast implants have to do with "the female form"?

I think you confuse objectification with appreciation.  What you seem to "appreciate" is the standard of "beauty" celebrated by frat boys and 15-year olds.

A) There is nothing sleazy about pornography.  It is in fact a very lucrative and highly respectable trade.  Lawyers are an especially integral part of the adult entertainment industry.  I post pictures of beautiful women in threads where I believe their introduction is appropriate.  While I would love to post pictures of nude women so that we could all appreciate their form, I don't wish to break any forum rules.  To this extent, I provide the suggestion of sexuality where a more explicit portrayal might better place my point in context.  I apologize if this has caused any confusion.

B) Much as the Greeks idealized their human sculptures to establish certain standards of masculine beauty, so also today do we use surgeons (as well as makeup artists, lighting experts, computer programmers, anthropologists, etc.) to develop certain standards of feminine beauty.  While larger breasts do not scientifcally correlate to more nourishment, aesthetically they do provide such a suggestion, much in the same way that a large waist to hip ratio is suggestive of a woman's womb space.  In both these cases, the anatomical preferences are strongly intertwined with sexuality, which is the root of all beauty.

Finally, like Ruskin, I believe that art, even if it is somewhat crude, does a hold a place for even the unformed masses.  Therefore, your attempted aspersions on the artistic sensibilities of "frat boys" and adolescent males really seems to me quite irrelevant.

aren't there a slew of websites that already allow people to rate photographs of attractive women, sure i like women as much as the next but this is not the place.  You know what could be funny, if we found a message board where the goal of it was to rate attractive women and starting talking about Criminal Law or Contracts.

I understood that this board is for law students and their interests.  Furthermore, this is the general section, not a specific category (like exams or classes).  Attractive women, if you take a look at the number of views my thread has gotten, are certainly an interest of law school students.  It's entirely apropos.

I have always been interested in and appreciated the female form.

Wow, what an impressive achievement. I wish I too could have an interest and appreciation for the "female form".

Were you planing on writing a doctoral thesis entitled,

Let me know how it comes out.  It's always enlightening to hear what an actual "connoisseur" has to say.

OK, you seem like an otherwise cool guy, so I'm going to cut you some slack and assume you weren't just being a not so nice person.

I'm a law student, planning to go into entertainment law, so no doctoral thesis.  If I were going to write one, it would probably involve the aesthetics of the female form (a surprisingly vast topic which can draw on fields like art history, biology, mathematics, literature, and even political science--take a look at Foucault sometime and his discussions on biopolitics).  My amateur hobby is photography and film, a passion I really pursued in college; lots of beautiful women were available for modelling.  It's quite difficult to set up a good photo shoot.  Some people have a photogenic quality, of course, and you need that as a baseline, but a lot of it is the manipulation by a careful artist to achieve the best possible portrait.  Try it sometime with your girlfriend.  Definitely a fun experience.
