I'm starting my personal statement this week and I'm a pretty good writer by most standards but I'm not sure what the adcomms need to know about me and how I should present it.Does my ps have to revolve around why I would be a good lawyer/law student?

I took testmasters to in nyc and ross was my instructor my score went up by twenty points tm is totally worth it.
To truly write a statement that would reflect who I am and why I want to be a lawyer, would mean describing the many advesaries I have faced in my life. My issues are complex and may seem a bit much to discuss. However I did spend some time in a Haiti earlier this year and the experience had a huge impact. So should I skip the childhood trauma (i.e, sexual abuse, sexual orientation, poverty) and go for a more positive approach or should I combine the two?
More importantly how personal is too personal? Where should I draw the line? What would make you feel uncomfortable reading?
