I have to choose between transferring to LSU or Tulane. While I prefer to attend Tulane, the cost is a big factor. I would end up taking $50k more out in loans if I go to Tulane. However, avg starting salary for Tulane grads is $83k and LSU grads is $48k.
Ok guys.. Does anyone know about this?
What part does extra-curricular activities play when attempting a
transfer from a T4 to a T1?
Let's say, for example, that one is a member of several campus
organizations(an officer in one), a writer for the campus newspaper,
logging volunteer hours (w/ Legal Aid) every week since the beginning
of 1L year, and a liaison to the admissions department (somewhat like
an "ambassador"). Let's also say that this person is on a national
steering committee of a political organization, and ranks somewhere in
the top 10% of his class.
What are his chances to get somewhere like GULC? Does participation
in a lot of activities greatly help his chances/help a little/not help
I really appreciate anyone's insight here.
Hey, I go to Oklahoma city Univ. school of law.. (yes, i know.. I had never heard of it either). I am in a situation that probably a lot of you were in, where this unknown T4 offered me money and i was blinded by it. So here i am, unhappy and wishing i would have gone somewhere else.
i am thinking about transferring to either Chicago, Northwestern, Chi-Kent, Georgetown, GW, or American. Any specific advice? I have read plenty about G-Town, but would love to hear something on N'western, Kent, or the other schools in DC.
Obviously, this all depends on grades after this semester and next.. but i think I will make top 10%. (fingers crossed)
ALSO, do any other schools consider transfer apps in the spring? or just g-town?
