Law School Applications / Best place to list a minor?
« on: October 11, 2006, 04:22:29 PM »
I'm sort of lost on where I should include my minor. Resumé might work, but not all schools ask for that. It's probably not going to make a difference one way or the other, but I figured I may as well try to get credit for it, even if only for brownie points.

General Off-Topic Board / What extra UG classes would you have taken?
« on: September 12, 2006, 01:38:36 AM »
I'm getting the "opportunity" of taking some extra classes. What are some interesting sounding classes that you wish you'd taken while still in undergrad? I am a Philosophy major, and have taken all the Classics stuff, so I probably have already done a lot of those.

Law School Applications / Penn Eearly Decision
« on: September 10, 2006, 07:55:21 PM »
I noticed Penn added an early decision option this year. Anyone taking them up on their offer? Any idea how much of an admissions boost it will give and how much it'll screw one over for financial aid?

Recommendations / LoRs From Degree School
« on: August 24, 2006, 02:53:24 PM »
I have a lot of units from a less prestigious university than my degree granting institution, with much smaller class sizes. Consequently, I knew my professors a lot better and could probably get more thorough recommendations. However, would it look bad to have all or most (2 out of 3?) of my recommendations come from a non-degree school? I was also young when I had those professors; would that influence the letters negatively?

I'm always hung up on this one. I don't want to sound too formal, but I also don't want to look like I'm writing a letter. What do you all think?
